The Vermont School Model United Nations is an academic project with an emphasis on the investigation, significance, and understanding of the social, cultural, and political environment created by students for students. It characterizes itself as balancing academic excellence and social life in a national and local event where respect, communication, and teamwork prevail.

VESMUN XII will have  ten different committees that reflect our theme for this year which is technology and society, to look for alternatives to mitigate all the impact of modern technologies in our society. The participants play the role of representatives of different nations and their policies after the United Nations. Before and during the event students research these global issues and familiarize themselves with those problems which affect millions around the world. Its main goal is to contribute to the formation of future leaders and world citizens through debates that year after year evolve according to the political, social, and economic agenda.

VESMUN aims to create unforgettable and motivational experiences where this generation of young men and women feel empowered to make changes in our society while they enhance their rhetorical and investigative abilities by acquiring the necessary tools for their academic, professional, and social lives.
